Navilyst Medical, Inc.
Navilyst Medical is charting a new course for itself in the world of vascular disease. The medical device maker markets its two main fluid management and vascular access products to cardiologists, oncologists, and radiologists around the world. Its NAMIC kits, which account for about 60% of revenue, are used to manage fluids during cardiac catheterization procedures. Its Pressure Activated Safety Valves (PASV) account for the remaining 40% and are used to administer drugs during such procedures as chemotherapy. Private equity firm Avista Capital Partners, which bought the company in 2008, sold Navilyst Medical to AngioDynamics in 2012.
